You perceive the world with particular attention to nature. You focus on the hidden treasures of life (the background) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the colors around you. Because of the value you place on nature, you tend to find comfort in more subdued settings and find energy in solitude. You like to ponder ideas and imagine the many possibilities of your life without worrying about the details or specifics. Good feelings

I love it when you get those little butterflies in your stomach when you are thinking about someone. It's the best and sometimes the worst feeling all together because it is a mix of your biggest hopes and dreams mixed together with the reality that it may not end up the way you want it to.

Fall break

I am going home for fall break - the train ride here was very nice, and it did not feel so long because I was watching Into The Wild while the train was passing by. Arriving at the train station in Charlotte, I was waiting for my mom to come get me and I was also people watching since I had nothing else better to do.

Most of the folks were uninteresting, but there was this one kid - maybe 16 or 17 years old, and he was riding around on a skateboard with the smallest wheels I have ever seen. Absolutely tiny wheels. So this kid was there before I got there and he seemed to be getting frustrated for having to wait so long. He asked to use my cell phone and he called his mother, but the tone of voice that he used to talk to her with was so repugnant and rude, if I were his mother I would have put him in his place faster then you can say - go. I left before he did, so I didn't get to see him treat his mom in person, but he aught to be so appreciative that he has a mother that will come and pick him up in his time of need. He doesn't realize how completely dependent he is upon her, and her importance in his life - all taking into account that yes, adolescence is a difficult time for a developing young person but there is no room for disrespect to your parents.

Trevor's Birthday

Trevor turned 21 this past Thurs, Oct 3. He has passed that imaginary threshold from underage to legal status to consume alcohol. Oh, it must be wonderful right?

Not really. It's awesome that he can now purchase it legally, but really that's all you can do now is do what you already can manage to do underage - but legally. He can go to any bar, any club and order a drink, order shots, you name it.

The Birthday party wasn't exactly what I had hoped for Trevor, mostly because people who said they would come did not come... I had some pretty good music going but folks weren't in the mood to dance, not when there are only 12 people in the room. So that was a let down, but his best friends from college were there, and he did go to a real club, and order shots without the fear of getting caught drinking underage. W00t - being 21 has it's benefits.

Lateness

Urgh, I have made nothing lower then a 90 on my GEOG370 labs, and here I am with my first late lab. I turned it in last night, one day or so late. I hope they don't count it as two days - THAT WOULD SUCK.

Trevor's party and my own lack of initiative to do the lab earlier is what caused me to miss the due date. I also forgot about a very important meeting with an advisor at 12:30 and I probably did really badly on my math quiz that afternoon. I suck sometimes.

A brighter day

I really truly honestly want to get myself out of this nonproductive state. I aught to get back to reading my GEOG370 book, seeing that I have a quiz on Tuesday.
